The City of Glenwood Springs, along with our local sponsors, presents a day of music and merriment celebrating Independence Day in our city’s beautiful Two Rivers Park. The day starts with the Lion's Club Firekracker 4K Run, an exciting fly-over courtesy of the United States Air Force and ends with the Symphony in the Valley performing a patriotic concert followed by a 20 minute long fireworks display!
No dogs/pets, no smoking and no glass containers. Thank you!
Schedule of Events
At 8:00 a.m. the Lions Club will hold their annual Firekracker 4K run, which will include a fly-over of 2 F-16 United States Air Force jets at precisely 10:45 am., #AFFlyover. Please refer to the Firekracker 4K poster for more information.
Following the 4K run, downtown businesses will feature Fourth of July promotions and other fun patriotic activities.
Starting at 4:45 p.m., there will be free shuttles, courtesy of Glenwood Adventure Park & Iron Mountain Hot Springs, taking event-goers from Glenwood Springs High School to the parking lot on 7th. Parking at the GSHS, walking or biking are strongly encouraged as parking near Two Rivers Park will be very limited. Please refer to the "Shuttle Route" poster for more information.
Festivities at Two Rivers Park will begin at 5 p.m., featuring live music from Mannequin the Band, assorted games and contests, and delicious food from many local and non-profit vendors.
The Symphony in the Valley will conclude the event with an 8 p.m. performance leading up to a grand finale featuring a low-altitude fireworks show at 9:20 p.m.
The event ends at 10 p.m.
