July is Parks and Recreation Month
Summer is here, and we are celebrating with free Zumba in the park, Summer of Music, Fourth of July, little league, a Parks Scavenger Hunt and more!
Throughout July, the City of Glenwood Springs is celebrating Park and Recreation Month, an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), and all the ways parks and recreation has the power to transform our daily lives. From providing us places to play, get fit and stay healthy to fostering new relationships and forging a connection with nature, our close-to-home community park and recreation facilities provide essential services and improve quality of life.
The signature event for the Glenwood Springs’ Parks and Recreation Month celebration will be Day to Play from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 29 at the Glenwood Springs Community Center. During the event, there will be FREE entry to the Community Center, membership discounts, free fitness classes, inflatables and games for kids, giveaways, equipment demonstrations and food vendors!
